  1. I'm told I may have an even more meaningful update being delivered tomorrow. Stoked. I'll post pictures.
  2. How long have you had the Ocean Swipe, how active are they in trying to fix it. (eg: 1yr... and they give you Weekly updates, or three software update in that time or ...)
  3. Oh good, I was seriously eyeing this option. Would you mind sharing details of the tank config you've got? (Glass thickness, Length/Width/Height of tank, trying to go around One/Two/or three corners?) DRAT. Did you have the the original RVS1A (up to 0.4" glass) or the newer RVS1A.5 (up to 0.5" glass)?
  4. Anyone have an Automated / Robot Glass Cleaner, and hows it working? Here's my quick list of options out there MOAI - The Robot for your Aquarium -- Doesn't seem to be real https://www.moaidevices.com/ RoboSnail http://robosnail.com/ Ocean Swipe 360 https://www.oceanswipe360.com Any others out there?
  5. Rocks came out of prep this weekend. What to do when smoke is obscuring the sun to dry them?
  6. I love looking at data like this, and trying out new control options.
  7. I like the way you're presented with the results. Not just a number, but the every step of the way.
  8. The Overflow has been tested. Directed dual overflows into 5 gallon bucket with big Eheim pump in it to see the water flow in action. Ken had this nice black plexi plate in the overflow box to increase the water level. Great design, it's needed. Looks like water surface will be ~7/8" from bottom of eurobrace on the sides, and ~5/8" from bottom of eurobrace on the short viewing end. (Double braced there)
  9. I had to construct my own earlier this year, when I needed a custom sized one. Just worked out better.
  10. You stuck your hands in your sump. That maximizes your paranoia response opportunities. Add a Aiptasia Eating Filefish to your sump. They're more consistent than peppermint shrimp at consuming them.
  11. I've read whats important is ratio of Nitrate and Phosphate. 15:1 is the right range. Yours is 14:1 (at 10 NO3 : 0.7 P04, which we know has NO3 wide range) I'm not there yet... working on it.
  12. What's your Phosphate, that goes along with your 10-20ppm nitrate? (and the corals are doing well)
  13. Looks like ~1hr per test (yes, some are less and some are longer). And I'd likely bump into the 11 tests, before refill. (Yes, there were some longer - haven't research which tests are good in ranges of my interest /etc) BUT, to get once-a-day (or every other day) testing of NO3 and PO4 - it would work.
  14. I'm right there with you. Because of the trident, I want to know nitrate and phosphate more regularly. Post more details about these two. I haven't researched reefbot much, so even a the simplest explanations work. what kits are used, how long they take, does it upload to it's own apexfusion-like cloud app..
  15. Someone's got to have a scratched 36" x ? x ? tank for this guy? (see what you've got and offer him up) He hasn't had salt water in his house for 10yrs, 15yrs? This will get him back in.
  16. Thanks - Clove-Free is my new chant. BTW, if you even start to see them come back - Hit them Again, and HARD. I think that may have been part of my mistake.
  17. Blue Clove Polyps are still gone, Brown Clove Polyps are still there going strong. Scat still looks cool in the tank, and never touched the BCPs. With the new 250 gal tank arrival (thank Ken), I am using this opportunity to reboot. Zero of the original rocks are going into the new tank. (Although, thanks to extra space in my frag tanks in the dedicated fish room - the old rocks will live there, until the new display tank is up, and new sterile rocks get populated with biology.) Or that's the plan...
  18. With this kind of description, I'm really looking forward to Seeing the Picts. Scrape Algae soon!
  19. NO NO NO - And remember, always add water to acid ALWAYS pour the acid INTO the water. (Add Acid TO water) [Edit} - I love Sarcasm, but not on this topic.
  20. I'll bet it's even more impressive in person. I'm a fan of Showcase One Coral tanks.
