  1. Happy B-day Holly! Hope you are off doing something fun for yourself.
  2. Well, I might be able to keep one alive anyway. Hmmm.... I wonder what kind of mystery box I could score for $262,000? Jeff???
  3. I want all of these! Oh, and the flame wrasse family as well. Guess I should have bought a lottery ticket this week 😞
  4. Going to try and raise them again or just need to do a "cleanse" on the tank? Too bad no one locally has been able to keep them going (as far as I know).
  5. Cool! I want to see this bad boy up and running. Curious to see what kind of flow rate range you achieve with your motor choice.
  6. This is exciting news! Good to hear all your coral will have some more room to grow 😀
  7. Tank is looking great! Quite a few items in there already - nice work all!
  8. This would be my guess as well. Sorry for all the struggles lately Cherany.
  9. Nice piece Taylor! Are you planning to be at the holiday meeting? Might make a good option for frag pickup.
  10. I saw that story but haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Hope it is a sign that they might be more resilient that originally thought.
  11. Oh man... so sorry to see this. Been a rough few weeks for you for sure. Hope things stabilize soon. Wish I could offer you some replacements but, as you know, I'm still trying to dig out myself. Let me know if I can do anything to help.
  12. Congrats on the win. Maybe you can stop by and organize my rats nest of build when you are bored 😄
  13. Sounds like a plan! Would be nice to have something growing in the tank again.
  14. Agreed - it does look really nice. May have to try a piece sometime - just give it lots of room. 😁
  15. Whoa - how big across is that thing now?
  16. Random contaminant as far as I can tell. Found an small chunk of a magnetic mineral by panning the media from the reactor with a magnet. Only got to that point by noticing a nasty looking trail of deposits from the reactor effluent line after happening to move it and leave it against a visible part of the sump by accident. Don't know what brand of media as I had several left over portions of different brands I was using up.
  17. Yeah - meant to post a thread on that but just been too busy. Had a mineral contaminant in my CA reactor media that led to high levels of some dissolved heavy metals - lost pretty much everything before I figured it out.
  18. Hey - how did you sneak a picture of my tank's cable "management" anyway!
  19. Yep - been running that way for quite a while thanks to Bill but my controller doesn't have a flow meter option so will just have to live without the alarm notifications for now.
  20. Arrgh! Of course this is the last weekend we have to clear out mom's apartment. Sigh. This holiday season is wearing me down man...
  21. I don't know... these all make me feel inferior. 😞
  22. So this sounds like it would be a good fit for those running high effluent flow/high pH - which I think is easier to control than super slow flow/lower pH (thanks @Bicyclebill) Now, if I had an apex...
