  1. I remember having nice colonies of Twilight Dragon and Tierra Del Fuego - both really nice additions and should look good together.
  2. So you are going to make it Jamie? Will be good to see you. Sorry I donโ€™t have anything cool to frag for you.
  3. Thanks J-Dog. Color looks great. My tank is still in crash recover mode so canโ€™t really risk a frag now but this is on my list to replace so may hit you up when things stabilize.
  4. Welcome Mike! Glad you gave the context for your user name - I was trying to put that together when I saw your post come through. Sounds like you have got a good handle on the core tank husbandry so hopefully moving into coral wonโ€™t be as step a learning curve as it can sometimes be. Lots of experienced and knowledgeable folk on her who are always willing to provide tips and advise so feel free to ask questions. Also can learn a lot just be reading old threads - lots of wisedom packed away in there. We happen to have our next meeting tomorrow in Salem. They are a great way to get to know other members - everyone is welcome.
  5. Better get used to it... they donโ€™t give up easily. Trust me, I know ๐Ÿ˜
  6. Thanks Jeremy - that was sort of my thinking. My psammacora is doing well, a rainbow monti is growing back and an acro test frag seems to be growing so I think I have righted the ship for the most part.
  7. Oh man... was looking forward to catching up. Guess the in-law thing goes with the territory now - good luck!
  8. Hey Jeremy - I am needing to restock all my SPS so wouldn't mind a pieces of those. Would need to trade you dollars at this point.
  9. Excited to see you all since I missed FragFest ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ Tank's a disaster but it's always good to spend some time with other reefers and hopefully get inspired for a comeback!
  10. Thanks for the feedback! This is pretty much what I expected but good to see it confirmed from practical experience. Unfortunately, when you did the group by, it was the wrong size for me ๐Ÿ˜ž
  11. I would say that Suncrest is quickly becoming the club's gold standard for system automation. Just to warn you, reef envy can get ugly ๐Ÿ˜„
  12. So I've been meaning to ask your impression of the capacity of the mesh vs. the traditional fabric. Seems like the mesh is pretty two dimensional so potentially less "holding" capacity. Of course, if that leads you to change them more often that may be more beneficial anyway.
  13. Nice looking piece! What kind of lighting do you have that under? GLWS.
  14. My new reefing motto has become "always expect the worst" so... Glad to hear the frags are doing well for people - that was a nice looking colony.
  15. Wow! That is a beauty Karen - wish I would have had a chance to see it when set up and running. Do you happen to have any pics of the sump and plumbing setup? How about the overflow (can't quite tell from the pic if this has and internal weir or?).
  16. So does Dawn know that? Just curious... ๐Ÿ˜€
  17. I think I am going to have a 6' by 2' transfer made of this and just stick it to the front of my tank - much easier than the reboot I'm currently in the midst of. No one would notice the difference right????
  18. Yeah - what she said! Have a great day Jeff and thank you for all your efforts for the reefing community - we are grateful for all your contributions and dedication to this (sometimes frustrating, always fascinating) hobby. Sean
  19. I was wondering if you would see this Bill - meant to tag you.
  20. Sorry I had to miss this Jeff (still clearing out mom's apartment). Congrats on the 7th anniversary and happy holidays to you and all the crew! I''m sure it was a awesome event - as always.
  21. Pretty interesting for sure! I wonder how the elasticity of the tubing will hold up without the pressure plate stabilizing it from excess movement. Does eliminate the potential for wear due to the friction. Hmmm.
