    Glad that worked out. I figured that would ultimately proved to be the answer after your last update. Not a bad thing to be running on a system anyway so will likely prove to be a good investment going forward.

    Yikes - that is unfortunate. I would likewise be suspicious of the Damsel although it could have been unrelated to a fish attack - hard to tell once it's been turned into dinner 😔

    Impressive how much difference a little extra air flow can make. The power of evaporation! Just make sure your auto-top up has enough capacity to keep up.

    This thing is crazy - even in person it’s hard to tell it’s a fish. Reminds me of one of those hidden pictures you have to stare at forever before it comes into focus.

    I have found that my source for chaeto always comes with a nice collection of pod hitchhikers so I don't think that has been a problem for me. I do agree that the refugium is the likeliest source of replenishment for the pod supply in my tank - the wrasses do a pretty good job of hunting down anything in the display.

    I tried to save some by extracting the hair algae... lesson in frustration. Should have just tossed it and started over sooner. My 2-cents.

    Welcome! Glad you found us and plan to attend some of the events - great opportunities to pick peoples brains over your reefing challenges, put faces to (forum) names, and often score some great frags from either vendors or other members. As noted above, also keep an eye on the classifieds - I think many of us have largely stocked our tanks based on pieces from other members.
