  1. That would be a shame - hope everything is OK. Sorry for the thread jack Tommy - looks like you had a really nice system running - glad you are getting good interest in rehoming your livestock and gear. GLWS
  2. I don't think it ever really stops... you just start to get numb to it after a while. Either that or you tear it all down one day in a fit of frustration Hopefully you never get to that point. Welcome BTW - looks like you are off to a good start and have already discovered at least one of our helpful LFSs here in town. There are some others listed on the sponsor page that can also be a good resource as well as the community here on the forum. Lots of experience amongst this user group so they can certainly help in answering questions and giving advice to help you avoid some of the more stressful situations you could face. Good luck!
  3. Thanks Matty - I will see if it looks like I could find some time to get over there and will PM you if so.
  4. Hi Matty - is that t247 one with the built in timer and remote? Looks like it has the rail kit for top mounting (vs. hanging). I could possibly use this as a backup light. Thanks!
  5. Nice! Those high pressure models sound kind of crazy - that is a lot of flow at a high head pressure. Not sure I have ever seen any of those in action.
  6. A barracuda would be a nice option if you could track one down. I know I have seen them show up on here on occasion. The Dart might work as well though... just can't remember what your likely head pressure is likely to be (too lazy to go back through the thread).
  7. Glad you and the family made it up. Sorry we didn’t have more time to talk about the new build - raffle tickets were too popular! Nice that you got to enjoy the venue a bit outside the meeting - definitely one of their more whimsical locations.
  8. Sorry to hear your little one was sick. Would have loved to catch up on the new tank. Hopefully next month.
  9. Hey Vance that setup looks really clean. Not sure why you are apologizing for that cord management. You should take a look at mine, it will make you feel much better - I guarantee it! Sorry I don’t have any great advice on your actual questions but I second your opinion on those snails!
  10. Awesome pics as always Bert! I know I’ve said it before but bears repeating... your recaps are always one of my favorite things about the meetings. Somehow you manage to catch all the action and still add great tidbits and details that bring it all to life - even for those of us who were there. As Cherany mentioned, it’s also a great way to put faces to names and get to know the club members better. Thanks again for all your work with these write ups and everything else you do for the club. Maybe next year I will be brave enough to tackle the reef trivia quiz (beginner level of course). P.S. Sorry @spectra I tried to snag that Bieber toothbrush for you but someone beat me to it 😞
  11. I think they are down in Grants Pass if memory serves. Sorry - don’t have any contact info.
  12. Glad you enjoyed it Nate - it was good to see you there! We don't do trivia or gift exchanges at all the meetings but do typically have a good time none the less so hopefully you will be make it to some others between now and next December!
  13. Hey Randall - how fast do you need these gone? Digging that acan...
  14. Well... since you put it that way. I can feel my meniscus tearing just thinking about it...
  15. How are you going to move/place that thing! I can feel my disks slipping just thinking about it...
  16. That's what you get for using all those technical terms - got to stay away from the science jargon you know
  17. Awesome. I love the recent one where he photo-bombed your tank shot.
  18. Looking like progress! I will be curious to see what those with AI experience say but, generally speaking, most folk are running LEDs at 2 or 3 times the intensity of blues over whites. I know you have more granularity than that on the AIs so others will likely have more specific recommendations.
  19. Yep that Naso is awesome as well and likes to show off. Why are you posting at 2:00 AM anyway?
  20. Nice! They are such show offs! Roy needs to post a pic of his in here as well.
  21. That piece in the second pic is one I have been admiring for a while now. Couldn’t believe someone with a large tank hadn’t taken it home yet. Glad you snagged it Daniel! Super nice specimen!
  22. He is pretty spectacular. What’s a few zoos amongst friends anyway 🙁
  23. Nice recap! Now I know why you missed the party... you were busy writing this up! Sorry you weren’t able to make it.
