  1. I think I will start saving my change in a jar or something. That will get me there soon(laugh)
  2. I want the six foot version(300g)! Very impressive tank with starphire front. MMM MMM GOOD
  3. Good start! Larger pics definately. I want to see the whole tank closely Garrett
  4. I have seen small nano tanks that have been very successful with LED lighting. Mostly with softies though. To be honest, I have not seen any large tanks with SPS that have, overtime, been successful. I have heard lots of talk about how it is possible and has been done but I just haven't seen the results. Garrett
  5. I defiantley look forward to a reduction in LED pricing as the technololgy saturates the consumer market. Our priceing and availability for aquarium use should dramatically improve over the next couple of years! Garrett
  6. Looking great! I would also like to know what kind of camera you are using? Those are some really great pics! Garrett
  7. In general .01 per day is a good number to raise it by. I have raised it as uch as .04 in the past and have had now issues at all. Garrett
  8. I love that birds nest. Looks awesome! Jody I really need to check your stuff out soon. Shawn, the frag looks great. Cant wait to see what it does in your tank. Should plate out real nice and develope a nice red coralite color with a flourescent green base and with great polyp extension. Garrett
  9. Looks good! I like the way you have the rocks aquascaped. Nice looking elegance. Garrett
  10. Ebay is where i picked mine up. They work great, just make sure to follow the instructions carefully and remember that the slower, generally the better. I think I paid $15 or $20 for each of mine. Garrett
  11. Hard to say. I hope they do. I have one of these guys and he never bugs anything but algae. Sounds like a mean littel bugger. Good luck with the clove polyps. Garrett
  12. I have seen them set-up and running with little maintanence for many years. Some are done very nicely and really make things look nice. That being said, I still wouldn't do it. I like the ability to have a bit more control of my flow. I also don't like to worry about leaks, clogs, overgrowth getting in the way, draining the tank, or reaching in areas way out of normal arm length. Garrett
  13. I have personally seen this tank and will attest to its value. It is a beautiful setup with lots of room and perfect dimensions. Well taken care of and the people are simply the best. Garrett
  14. Looks like it is working wonders. That is some nasty poo poo. Should do even better as time goes on. Garrett
  15. Sounds like you are pretty well set. Just stick them and watch them grow Then 4 months late we will talk about getting you a bigger system ehh? Garrett
  16. I killed one with 60 degree water once. Was a huge worm about 14-16" long. Problem is it fell apart as I began to pull its shrivled body out of the rock. Had to put the rock in a bucket with a powerhead and several water changes before I could get all of the worm out of the rock. Stunk to high heaven but was well worth it. Nasty buggers. Garrett
  17. will definately give you a call on one of my future trips down. I have to go down there for business often anyway.
  18. I had them a few years back on a few frags that were in one of my frag tanks. They are a strange thing really. they never seems to really hurt my frags, rather they just seem to anoy them a bit and block the light. After a few weeks they seemed to just disapear and just to make sure I tossed an Australian banded pipefish into the frag tank they were in. Never say them again. I know have one of the pipes in my softies frag tank just in case they diside to show up. Doubt it though and if they do they aren't too bad of a pest in my opinion. Garrett
  19. Next time you are up, we will have to do some fragging ehh?(naughty) Garrett
  20. Curtis, I am really happy to hear that you had a good time up here. Jason is a great guy to deal with and always treats fellow reefers fair that is for sure. Some freakin crazy cool stuff too. The frags seem to be doing well. I decided to mount them to some frag rocks to let them grow out a bit. The purple deaths, nuc greens, and armor of gods have all been out and seem to be doing awesome. The tubs are still a bit shy, but they are small guys and should be out in no time. When I get back from Seattle, I will be sure and get the CO2 hooked up to my reactor. I have just been way to busy today to do anything that takew any time. Thanks again for the trade and when you come up next, let me know and we will get together for some tradeing or whatever. It will be nice to actually have some more time to chill. Shawn thanks for coming as well. It was good to see you again and I was happy to see another Eugene reefer up our way. Garrett
  21. Thanks Curtis, you are welcome anytime. Next time I should have a few hours as apposed the the little time we got today. Hope everything is doing well! Garrett
  22. I too love that monti. The colors are really nice together! If you do some fraggin, you know where to come trade Garrett
