  1. LOL my pleasure. The funny thing is, I had 3 beers going through the thread as well. I cracked the first one when he was painting the walls of the garage and the last when I got to the pic with his chest wide open! Garrett
  2. I love that he hasn't worn a matching pair of socks in 26 years that is until his hospital stay. He drinks more than I could handle and in general just seems like a pretty bada$$ guy! I would love to get over and see if I could help put some color in his tank sometime. Garrett
  3. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1650383&perpage=25&pagenumber=41 This thread took me over 2 hours to go through but I enjoyed every minute of it! It has so many ups and downs I almost lost my stomach and my eyes currently burn! We even had one of our own forumn members help this guy out which is just plain rad! Garrett
  4. Congratulations!!! That is way cool! Maybe someday I could even get a pair from you Garrett
  5. I can't keep xenia alive while I am running my system with my skimmer or my algaes. If I take the skimmer or algaes off line, it seems to do just fine. Definately a nutrient demander for sure. For some reason the white and pom pom xenia seem to do just fine though they don't grow as quickly. Garrett
  6. I will take them both if they are still availble. Sending you a PM Garrett
  7. With that kind of bioload I feel that you should do alright without a skimmer. You have a fair amount of LR. Adding miracle mud wouldn't hurt but I have run a tank and have had friends that have tanks that run skimmerless and as long as there is a good CUC, not too many fish, regular water changes, and lots of good live rock, there has never been a problem. In fact in one of my friends tank, he has some of the best looking coral! Garrett
  8. Depending on how this goes/how it will be setup, I would be down to possibly enter in as a "local farmer". If I didn't enter, I would still be interested in going to check it out and do some buying/trading! If enough vendors came and if word was spread, this could be a pretty sweet event! Thanks, Garrett
  9. I guess some people really just want to keep saltwater fish. If done correctly these can work. They are just ugly and worthless to us true reefers! Garrett
  10. Oh I got one of those a while back. They work alright but I keep having to climb into the collection cup and remove all of my fish to put them back into the display! I would highly recommend going with the next size down Garrett
  11. Kinda reminds me of the fish from the new GI Joe movie. These are just the beginning! Now we defiantely aren't safe in our ocean lol. Garrett
  12. I third this. Excellent free cleanup crew! They also breed like crazy which rocks! Garrett
  13. I would Kalk paste them or kill them off another way. Lemon juce, aptaisa x, joes juice. I would just get rid of them. Those thing will invade your entire tank if they are allowed to. They grow really fast and are hard to get rid of when they are in numbers. They are a common proto palyathoa and are a bit deceiving as they seem cool at first until they overgrow all of your zoas and such. Of course you could always razor them off and give them to Blain Garrett
  14. LOL no joke. I need that cent key! I can't get it to work either! I usually just look up symbols and copy and paste them. Too much work lol
  15. That is a very good point! How am I supposed to do anything involving cents in any kind of time saving fashion when I can't find a cent symbol on my feakin key board! I am pissed!
  16. That milli is amazing! I almost picked it up myself. Dang! Now I have to get a frag from you Sweet score Lance! Garrett
  17. That was a gem of a milli. I am sorry for your loss. I had a huge pocillipor and a huge A. formosa take a dive on me after being grown out from small colonies. It sucks but like you said there is now definately alot more room ! Looking great! Garrett
  18. Australian Banded pipefish, male naso tang with streamers, mandarine(either variety) dragonet, anthias of many variety, really too many to list but those are some of my favorites.
  19. It won't be overkill. I wish I had dual 400w again over my 90g. the dual 250w hqi's are nice for sure but I like real colorful sps and alot of them
