  1. Hello everyone! I hope everybody is excited and ready for the next couple of weeks! It's hard to believe that Christmas is just a few days away. The weekend after Christmas, I will be doing an order for some live rock. This will not be your ordinary live rock but will be the premo stuff with lots of color and life to it. The last order I did I had rocks with all sorts of life from different purples and reds of coraline algae to even small shrimps, crabs, and polyps. The rock has some amazing shapes and great porosity to it. I am offering eveyone an opportunity to get a super deal on some of the nicest rock available. The deal is that it must be prepaid/ordered. It comes in roughly 50lb boxes so I am offering it at full box or half box lots. The price will be $2.85/lb on the full box lots and $3.15/lb on the half box lots. This puts the boxes at roughly $142.50 and the half boxes at roughly $71.25. The rock will come in on Tuesday the 29th or Wednesday the 30th. I can either meet those who preorder in Portland for pickup on which ever day it comes in, or you are welcome to come down and pick up the rock anyday after the rock comes in, just let me know so I can schedule the time to be available. Don't miss out on an opportunity to get a great deal on the great looking, premium rock!! PM me or call with any questions. Thanks!!!
  2. I am looking for another dual 400w metal halide ballast. It would be great to get a couple of electronic ballasts but a dual PFO or something similar would work as well. I am have a dual 250w PFO ballast that I would trade or if the price is right, I would be willing to just buy. I would also trade in full or part for coral frags, inverts, etc. Let me know what you have and thanks for looking!
  3. WOW!!! that is some nuts growth for only being less than a month! Amazing stuff!!! Keep up the good work!!!!
  4. If we are counting live rock, which is living, I guess the answer would be closer to $2500 for the rock that was in my 210g.
  5. I think I paid close to $200 for a nice acro colony once. Sad thing is that I don't even remember which one it was. I also traded a bunch of stuff for a $400 colony of duncans but didn't pay any cash.
  6. From my experience, Mexican turbos do really really well in our aquariums. They might come from a bit cooler water, but I don't think they are temperate for the most part. I have had them live for literally 3-4 years and then had to get rid of them do to a tank tear down. There are other turbos that I have had that don't seem to live quite as long but Mexicans definately have for me.
  7. Thanks guys not only for your business but for your praise!!! Mark, I am glad you came by and we had a chance to chat reef. Also thanks for the little nano! I am probably going to start setting it up in the office today. I have never had a tank this small and am excited to add some different kinds of small critters to it. The wife actually thinks it is pretty cool which is a first. She told me I had to add a sexy shrimp pair. I am suprised she even knows what they are much less can drop a name. Huskerduck, Thank you for the algae, the business, and for coming by and checking out the tanks!
  8. Very good call Mike! I thought of you when I first saw the ad. This will keep you tank nice and bright.
  9. An equipment list would be awesome as well. Here are a few things that might help us. Do you have/use/type? A sump , protein skimmer, flow, lighting , amount of live rock and sand, tap water or RO/DI water, etc.
  10. Hey man good to see you are back with a big tank! I am sure it will be awesome. Sorry I missed your call today. I was stuck doing some work stuff. Give me a buzz when ever.
  11. Tanka and stand sold... Finally out of the garage and hauled to its new home. It is to become a South American Ciclid tank. Wish it was going to a reefer but hey Ciclids are cool
  12. I have kept both in a 90g without problems. It does kind of depend on the wrasses appetite though. Some wrasses tend to literally hunt all day and will eat until they pop while others will only hunt for a little while evey day and will eat mostly frozen or food that you give them. Most of the time both will feed on pods so they would be in some competition but if you have them feeding on frozen, I would imagine that you would do just fine.
  13. Vanz, The Mexican turbos are amazing! Its almost hard to believe how fast they work. Bitricker, I look forward to meeting you and helping youg get your new 150g off to a great start. Once you are ready toss me a pm or give me a call to set up a time to come by.
  14. I have had tanks get down that low and during shipments the water in the fish and coral bags definately is at least that temp if not a bit lower. 70 is kind of rock bottom for many critters to survive. Some fish will start to go into convulsions and many sps will start so die off as well as some softies and sps if the temp goes below that mark for very long. During shipments they are only subject to those temps very temperarily but in our tanks during this time of year those temps can last days or even weeks if we don't watch closely. It sounds like you have it all covered. I hope everything stays happy and does well for you. It sucks when stuff like this happens.
  15. Regular prices are still pretty darn good so no worries there! I will continue to try and do a sale of some kind ever couple/few weeks depending on what kind of feedback I get from eveyone and what I think needs/wants seem to be. Toss me a pm if you would like to see a list for any particular week.
  16. Keep up the good work! It is nice to see a good review of all of the stores. There are alot of people who have never been to many of these stores and this gives them a reason to go!!! If you ever are in my neck of the woods, feel free to toss me a pm or give me a call if you want to swing by and check out the system.
  17. Hello Everyone! Christmas and New Years are soon approaching and I have some critters that will really help enhance the look of your tank. Whether you need a good clean up crew, need some extra color and movement, or just need to fill in some bare spots in the tank, I have some critters for you. Margarita Turbo Snails- These guys will eat lots of algae and unlike many snials will readily consume hair algae as well! They have black shells with black bodies and are roughly 3/4"-1" in size on average. $.54 each if you buy 1-10 $.50 each if you buy 11-24 $.45 each if you buy 25+ Jumbo Nassarius Snails- These are one of the best sand sifters and are really beautiful in shell shape and color. Each snail has a unique pattern. These snails are extremely active and will not only consume detritus but also left over food particles and algae bits to boot. They keep the sandbeds turned over regularly keeping it nice and white. I have two other varieties of nassarisus sp. snails in aswell! $1.29 each if you buy 1-4 $1.19 each if you buy 5-9 $1.09 each if you buy 10+ Mexican Turbo Snails- I think these guys are probably the hardest working algae eaters that I have ever seen! They consume algae like it is going out of style. I had two very dirty tanks a few weeks ago and literally the night after I tossed in the Mexican turbos, the tanks were spotless! $1.89 each if you buy 1-3 $1.79 each if you buy 4-7 $1.69 each if you buy 8+ Astrea Snails- Probably the most popular snail in the hobby, astreas are a staple to a nice clean tank. $.72 each if you buy 1-5 $.68 each if you buy 6-10 $.64 each if you buy 11+ Tiger Conch- Great sand sifters and awesome critters to help keep your tank clean. These guys are very fun to watch! They have a long mouth kind of like an elephants trunk, long protruding eyes, and a foot that kicks them an inch or two in whatever direction they are traveling. They are about 1.5-2" in length. I also have two other conch varieties in this week. $5.99 each if you buy 1 $5.49 each if you buy 2-3 $4.99 each if you buy 4+ Now for some brightly colored tank cleaners!!! Fire Shrimp!! These are a shocking red with white spots and white legs. Excellent part of your cleanup crew and are sure to impress! Equally impressive price @ $24.99 each this week! Cleaner Shrimp!! These are a reef must have that not only keep extra food and waste particles under control but also help to clean your fish. These guys like to set up "cleaning stations" where they can attend to fish that stop by for regular maintanence. Great Price this week @ $14.99 each! Orange Linckia Star! Beautiful, eye catching addition to your reef. These guys are hardier than some other varieties(blue linckias) in my experience. Very active and can be seen feeding on your rockwork or grazing on the tank walls. 2 left this week @ $16.99 each! Mottled Linckia Stars! These guys are a beautiful addition to our reef tanks and enjoy much of the same activity as their cousins the orange linckia. Super Value Price of $9.99 each! On to the fish!!! Back by popular demand, here are a few wrasses to color up those tanks: - Solaris(Clown) Fairy Wrasse! I have 1 of these guys left! These are super colorful and a great peaceful addition. They can be kept in pairs or groups and with other fairys and flashers! One left @ $26.99!!! - McCoskeri Flasher Wrasses! I have 2 of these guys left! They are great in multiples and with other fairys and flashers. Excellent, colorful fish with a nice personality. Two left @ $17.99 each!!! - Melanarus Wrasse! These are one of my favorite in terms of both their color and personality as well as their utility in our tanks. These fish help keep many pests at bay and are almost always out and about adding nice movement and color to our tanks. One left @ $18.99!!! - Kelloggi Seahorses- Tank Raised! These guys are great. They are eating frozen brine and cyclopeeze readily and are constanty on the move hunting down any microfauna they can find. Great for a refugium or a lower flow tank! Get one for only $19.99 or buy the pair for $35.99!!! There are a few other great looking fish in the tanks including a few tangs, a dragon faced pipefish(does great in reef tanks), a couple royal grammas, etc. Lots of different invertibrate varieties in as well including a coral banded shrimp, gold coral banded shrimp, many different snails, blue, red, electric blue, and tri colored hermits, feather dusters, conchs, stars, etc. Many different frags and corals are also in the tanks including zoas/palys, colorful mushrooms, green leathers, tyree toadstool frags, 3 different star polyp varietes, blue clove frags, 3 different xenia varieties, a few different euphylias varities, a number of sps frags, etc. BONUS: As an added bonus through Christmas, anyone who comes down and spends more than $5 will get a FREE Small Colt Coral(2.5"-5" with multiple branches)!!! I have plenty of them that I need to clear out of the system and would love to give some away!!! Give me a call to make an appointment to come by or send me a pm if you like! All prices are limited to stock on hand and are good through Christmas Day! Note: All pictures are for reference only and exact specimens will very slightly. These pictures are burrowed from other sites and are the property of their respective owners.

I am going to offer this beautiful monster of a tank for $500 OBO cash!!!! 20. Here are my favorites though not in any kind of order: McMenamins Wheat Ale McMenamins Ruby Ale Widmer Bros Hef Widmer Bros Broken Halo IPA For that matter Most Widmer Bros brews Pyramid Hef Blue Moon Pretty much most beers though I don't usually mess with Porters or Guinnes. I have even been one to just show up with a couple of 40ozers of good ole PBR or Old E.
  21. Erik, I havn't seen any issues with LMB and diamond gobies before. Sounds like a rogue blenny. I have seen them battle other similar blennies i.e. a starry and a LMB might go at it pretty good or a LMB vs. LMB could be bad. I think you should be safe. Now those triggers on the other hand... lol
