  1. GO BEAVERS!!!!!! I am rooting for them through it all!!! Even as a Beaver alum, I have to admit that I would love to see the little water birds get a shot at the national title. I have been thinking along the same lines as Jon here. Either way it's gonna be a huge win for me!!!! Imagine if the ducks can't cover the point spread and the BEAVERS come within only a few points of winning... that would be the worst!
  2. I don't know of a single Hawaiian collector that uses it. Hawaiin collectors for the most part are some of the worlds best and they do care greatly about their reef! It's afterall their livelyhoods at stake here. Hawaii is one of the greatest resources to our hobby. Imagine no more Yellow tangs, Achilles, Chevrons, Hawaiian Potters, Flames, etc.. The list goes on and on and when you toss inverts and such into the mix it continues to go on and on. Islands in general really greatly on the sustainable collection/fishing that comes from their surrounding waters, especially if they are tropical in nature. Huge huge mistake to even think of banning collection. Regulations are in place and continue to be placed to the point that it can already be difficult to collect and in turn feed families, etc, etc.
  3. Wishing you all a safe, stress limited, fun holiday! Also I wanted to express my thanks to all of you! It's great to be involved in a community like this and I am very thankful that it is here. Rock on PNWMAS!!! Eat turkey, enjoy your family and friends, and prepare to shop your socks off!!! I am going to be running some specials after the holiday for the season so stay tuned over the next week to see what great deals there will be!!! Also, if there is anything that anyone is in need of for their tanks at the moment, please feel free to toss me a pm, text, or give me a buzz and I will see what I can do to get you the hook up

  5. Thanks for such great support everyone! Jesse it was good to have your down finally The kids were fun to watch and listen to.
  6. Pat, You are a bit crazy for tearing apart your table so that you and the wife could fit this monster in yoru apartment! (nutty) Of course, so am I and so are most of us in the club for doing very similar things in the name of reef keeping! (rock2)(rock2) Perry, PM replied to. Kim, Great to have you down and it will be great to have you down again in December (clap) On another note, couldn't you just watch the games from home, save yourself a ton of coin, buy lots of cool critters from Garrett's shop so that you don't have to watch all of these sad games in person? (whistle) Of course I know there are many other reasons to make the trip and I am in no way serious. Dantheman, Thanks for the trade on the ballasts. I am going to have to con you and the wife into stopping by again soon

  8. oh, I wouldn't call it bad... Just means that there is way too much wisdom to be shared and even more low ball offers to be made I am just playing on the low ball offers comment lol. Roger is one heck of a tanks for teachers mind trick Jedi though.
  9. Welcome to the club and to SPS lol. They can be troublesome at times but they are well worth it! Feel free to hit me up sometime if you ever want to come up to Salem and check out the setup or if you have any questions.
  10. If you are planning to come down to Salem to take the pass over to CO, you should swing by my place. I have lots of goodies that might interest you and have about the best prices you will likely find I should be around most of Sunday too but toss me a PM to let me know if you are thinking of stopping by so that I can send you my address and such.
  11. That's awesome! GJ their ladies. You just saved yourselves at least a couple hundred $$ and luckily Holly is doing well. Time for another shopping trip down at Garrett's I think Very cool stuff. On a side note, Corgis are notorious for getting stuck in situations like this. My family lost our first corgi due to her constant desire to hunt down human food in the garbage can. She ended up getting stuck in a Doritos bag and unfortuntately couldn't get out or get any air. She did manage to eat every last Dorito and crumb before she passed though... Very sad stuff but on a positive note, she did die doing something she loved.
  12. Whatever works for the both of you I should be around most of both days. Got lots of new stuff in as well.
  13. Frankilin I am glad that you took this beauty home with you!!! he looks great in your tank and your picture taking skills are pretty amazing as well. Very nice!!! Always fun to get something as unusual and magnificant as this fish is!
  14. lol I wondered what happened to that little guy. He was so small that he went down through my overflow grids and must have found his way into your rock... Very suprised he lived through all of that. Amazing creature and really great story. Hopefully he is a welcome suprise
  15. Thanks guys for the great comments! I am glad everyone had a good time and likes the shop. I have had some great conversations the past few days!!!
  16. Looking good. I would move the light so that it is about 8-10" above the tank. I like you sump idea as well but just remember that shallower tanks require more frequent water top off which can get anoying without an ato. Drilling the tank would also be ideal and can be easily done.
  17. You are welcome to head down this way and grab as many of them as you like. My tanks have thousands of em
  18. Mike, I will hold all of the good stuff for you til Friday David, I am almost all out of macro :( I need a bunch so if people have extra around, bring it on over! Clay, I got in a couple of yellow tangs, a nice half black mimic, coral beauty, a few different pseudochromis, chromis, a few nice scooter and mandarin dragonets, a few couple of lawnmower blennies, some firefish, and a few more that are slipping my mind. Looked for Fumanchus but the hunt still continues. Scott, After the meeting you should head up this way! Lots of new critters (rock2) Oh and I have a really great looking, pefect sized Magnificant Foxface like the one you were looking at almost a year ago!
  19. Would love to have you down. Saturday should be nice and busy with the meeting just a few minutes away
  20. Just got a nice order in today with lots of inverts and some fish. To top that off, the corals that came in a couple of weeks ago are looking great and are priced real well! Lots of food, salt, and other dry goods in stock! A few specials on top of the unadvertised special pricing on corals and inverts for this week! Black Nassarius Snails are $.35 each when you buy 20 or more!!! These guys are great sand sifters and will not only clean up left over food and debry but also clean algae off the glass and rocks. Lots of Astreas and Dwarf Blue Leg Hermits in as well!!! Astreas are $.79 each and if you buy 10 or more I will do them at $.74 each. I will do the DBL's at $.79 each or $.69 if you buy 20 or more!!! I should be around all week so give me a buzz or toss me a text or pm if you want to swing by. Thanks!
