Ok, I'm game.
If i can get them back eventually that would be nice but no biggie.
I can donate a blueline external pump and a no-name venturi skimmer as well as some more vho ballasts. you would need a seperate pump for the skimmer but it should be able to keep up with the skimming needs i also have a single sheet of reflector you can use. let me know. i also have a 70w MH e-ballast but no pendant or bulb.

Nah... i think the ducks have it... no matter what the "experts" say.

I'll let you know when i get my bullet 3 plugged in.

Hey... A blowtorch would work wonders too

I have a friend that sets up methane producing power plants on farms. good use of resources.

When these "climatologists" can finally predict the local weather tomorrow with some degree of accuracy i may start to believe something they say about the whole world.

Ok folks, i found a very fascinating video clip from the UK... it is a long one but very interesting. Supports my side a little more.

Flatworm exit. he only put a few drops in too and everything was freaking out fast. I would do it as a dip anyways just so you can shake the dead ones off.
-
Velvets and sixlines are fine but you will always have FW issues. if you break down and use FW Exit then do it as a dip. NEVER add it to the main tank. Bemo had a disaster with the stuff and lost 2 awsome tangs.
-
I will talk with Jay at rose city and see if he can make room before the back room is filled with stuff.

Here is a link to the TRT thread... for kicks and giggles.

looks more like an old lady...

Being a volunteer leader/moderator is not easy. do what you need to do Jay. It would help if you could just let us know why.
thanks,

I have worked with PFO on many levels and they are great.

the letter of the law says yes... but in the end it is up to the judge. good luck!

I have never done baffles in a sump before. there are easier methods. just put a 90 degree pvc elbow on the intake of your return pump. then just point it down with 1" clearance off the bottom. i never had bubble problems and it saved more room in my sump.

Should have been locked a long time ago IMO. It can be nice to have a much more open and free site to play in... but it is not pleasant to get flamed. the very reason i never visit RC. threads like this really belong on climate forums, notwhere we are trying to discuss keeping our reef tanks happy.
just my thoughts.

anyone with a camcorder please bring it.

Nah, it is hard enough to keep a regular display clean and going without having to worry about a low flow crap catch basin... especially when you can solve the whole problem by getting a larger skimmer instead. I have no desire to keep a refugium. they are old school and nowhere near as neat and efficient as a good sized skimmer.
keep in mind.... the longer the crap stays in the tank the more phos it produces. even if you have a full tank of macro, it will still die and rot and your phos will increase. the original purpose of a refugium was to remove these pollutants... why wouldn't you go with a more effecient system by using a skimmer?
