I asked the same question,this is what i got If you click on a name at the bottom of the screen you can send that person a instance message. It will appear when the person clicks on a new thread or topic. As for what it stands for its Lightweight Presentation Protocol. If the person allows popups the message will show up and you can reply to it. Works just like a PM but you don't have to go to your PM page to see it. HTH PS give me some 'kudos'!!!!!!
