Nyles
Home Depot this weekend only will be taking any strand of regular incandescent x-mas lights and give you 50% a box of LED in replacement (5 max). Might want to confirm with your local store, but I heard it on radio this morning.
ThePremiumAquarium
I defiantley look forward to a reduction in LED pricing as the technololgy saturates the consumer market. Our priceing and availability for aquarium use should dramatically improve over the next couple of years! Garrett
impur
Have you guys seen a successful tank with LEDs? All the ones i have seen have browned out corals. I hope LED technology comes to the point we can use it in this hobby.
andy
I still haven't seen any evidence of happy SPS under LED. It'll get there eventually, just not yet.
ThePremiumAquarium
I have seen small nano tanks that have been very successful with LED lighting. Mostly with softies though. To be honest, I have not seen any large tanks with SPS that have, overtime, been successful. I have heard lots of talk about how it is possible and has been done but I just haven't seen the results. impur
Yah i'm happy to see at least the technology is being attempted. I'd love to see one that can be successful.
SquidHC
I bet that if you wait 2-5 years the technology will be up to our specs. Id also bet the prices will be lower, as with all new developing technology.
