deans7269
I want to buy this. Is this good for a reef? Need answer ASAP! THANKS! http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/for/889701224.html
andy
It would work fine, but the price seems high to me. You can get a new ballast (no bulb...) for only a bit more than that.
deans7269
I will try to get them down on the price. Thanks for the info!!
andy
Don't let them try and use the bulb to bump the price, it could die tomorrow.
downhill_biker
agreed, the bulb doesn't add much more value, maybe $10? they can say it is almost new, and it could be a year old. the most productive PAR on a bulb is in the first month, so you are already losing that either way. i would probably just keep looking on this site, and you will most likely find a better deal. ThePremiumAquarium
I have a dual pfo ballast for $120 with the sockets and bulbs with about 6 months of life on them if this doesn't work out for you. Garrett
deans7269
I did not go look at it. Im just going to save my money. Im not sure I want to do hard corals anyway. Their colorful but they dont move at all. I was just carried away on what I thought was a good deal. I have Coralife 50/50 48 130 which my softs seem to like. Does anyone know how good this light is? I would like to get another one. I have a 75 gallon 5ft long tank. I think two of these would be perfect. If thats not overkill. http://www.aquacave.com/48-2x65w-coralife-aqualightbr-pc-hood-w-5050-lamp-643.html
