nanoreefer
I recently obtained a piece of pokerstar monti (not colored up yet). It normally looks like this: and today I came home to this: the polyps seem to have overinflated themselves. Is this normal?
reef-fisher
Thats strange. Ive never seen an sps do that. Have you tried feeding to check its response? Im assuming all other parameters are in check?
impur
I would guess something walked across it and ticked them off. How does it look now?
nanoreefer
I checked this morning before leaving the house, still looks overinflated. I haven't had a chance to check the parameters yet but everything was fine when i tested on sunday. My 4 other montis and other sps look normal. What puzzles me is that there are actually 4 frags (from same colony, i fragged it myself) of the pokerstar in the tank and only that one is doing it. andy
Fed them oysters? Maybe some Viagra made it's way into the tank?
nanoreefer
LOL, that's too funny, and um...NO!
pledosophy
I have seen some differnt zoa's and paly's do that but never SPS. IF it is anything like the zoa's it will correct itself in a few days. I have had colonies were a few were inverted and the rest were fine. Not sure if it is the same thing or not. JMO
