ZillSS
Hi I'm new here. I did some reef tank stuff about 15 years ago but fell away from the hobby. I just got a 6g tank and am currently cycling some rock. I purchased a couple of small DC pumps and am making a wave controller for them. The hardware is done but need to spend a few days working on the program. I haven't decided about what light to get yet, either a diy or NICREW 30". I'm still thinking about livestock. I'll post more Pics as this project progress's

ZillSS
I just ordered a bunch of 3w leds from aliexpress. 12 Royal Blues, 4 395nm Purple, 4 neutral white. and 4 buck convertors. I won't need all that much light but I will be able to adjust brightness. Whites, Purple will have separate driver boards. Hooked to a arduino I'll be able to turn on the white, blue, purple all seperate. Cost $25 plus some aluminum

ZillSS
Worked on the wavemaker today, finished lid for enclosure and tested out little 12v pumps. They are quite and do pretty good I think. Minimum flow is 30%. Working on software with the following features. Alternating Collision both on at the same time Pulsed Alternating. 24 1 hour slots that can be programmed for each mode and flow rate. ZillSS
I was thinking on how to arrange my rocks, they are cycling now. So they will be wet when I put them into the tank. So I designed a spiked grid and 3d printed it. I used PETG so it is nontoxic, can be cut to whatever shape you like 160mmx80mmx10mm, I was thinking I could just use silcone to secure them on the bottom and lower back. I'm planning on going to the meeting next week. Any other good ideas in this area?
ZillSS
It's coming together. Received the stand and temporary light. Wavemaker software is almost complete. Rock cycling is in the nitrite stage.
Krux
I have been doing more and more projects with petg for my frag system. I have found I need at least an 80% infill for things to sink in saltwater, you may have already found this but just a heads up if not.

ZillSS
In go the rocks, wavemaker functional, but still needs some finishing touches. LED's have arrived, will base the controller off some of the code I developed for the wavemaker, including Realtime clock.
