DIY ammonia and Alk

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever used any of Randy Holmes Farley diy for ammonia dosing and Alkalinity?

I find my tank low with nitrates and wanted to start dosing ammonium bicarbonate for my corals and figure next step is dosing alk for corals and I like diy and saving money….:

if not then fritz rpm it is for dosing 😂

I can’t help with the dosing as I use Brightwell, but @Lexinverts might use the RHF recipe?

Otherwise I can come feed your fish, my skilled hand keeps my nitrates too high most of the time 😇

I currently use the RHF recipe that’s ammonium bicarbonate on my coral QT tank. Currently at 4 mL/day on a 20 gallon that is fishless. Start slow and adjust based on nitrate levels. I wouldn’t change much quicker than every 2 weeks.
