psychofireman
I have a 55 gal mixed reef/fish/ live rock tank. What fish and invertebrates would y’all recommend for cleaning and visual stimulation? And how many. I currently have 1 blue chromis, 3 assorted damsels, 3 clowns, 1 Haitian, 1 long tip and 1 carpet anemone. Also in process of rehoming humu Picasso trigger. Higher Thinking
I'd check out some wrasses. You could find a couple really cool additions. 1
xxkenny90xx
How about a tuxedo urchin and a brittle or serpent starfish!
obrien.david.j
Tangs/rabbitfish/foxface - three different genus. You've been fighting algae, you need fish as part of your cleanup crew. I never run a tank without a number of them. And for different purposes. Personally, I always make sure to have at least one bristletooth tang, any species. Good "Scrapers." I'd run any of these: bristletooth (Kole, Tomini, Chevron, ...) zebrasoma tang (Yellow, Scopas, Purple, ...) Blue tang Rabbitfish ( I like these) Foxface (only had once)

Not sure how they would do in my tank. Have only an inch of sand in the front 1/4 of tank. Behind rock is no sand. And not familiar with the starfishes

(I only consider tuxedo urchins. the rest are too spikey and too bull dozer-ish for my taste.)

psychofireman
I got these pair of gobies and can’t remember what they are. I googled and see some like them but not close enough to say for sure. Anyone know what they are? I got them from woody’s seahorse and love them

A little googling, and looks like you got Valenciennea helsdingenii. Valenciennea helsdingenii is a species of goby from the Indo-Pacific. It is commonly known as the twostripe goby, black-lined sleeper goby, or railway sleeper goby. https://reefbuilders.com/2015/07/11/awesome-fish-spotlight-valenciennea-helsdingenii/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valenciennea_helsdingenii

psychofireman
Will a bubble tip anemone eat a carpet anemone? Cause I think that’s what happened here. They were living side by side and now I can’t find the carpet and the bubble tip is HUGE..
psychofireman
Nvm carpet is still behind bubble tip. On a sadder note looks like one of my goby pair might have been it’s lunch ;(
