DuckHead
Mine has been retracted for about three weeks now, still alive but no new growth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
badxgillen
Well fiddle sticks! Looks like a small group of contestants made it through the recent worldly issues. Let's see were we all stand now...
badxgillen
So it is that time again, you know what I mean, post it up time... Nothing to see here folks, just a few heads of acans, slow growing LPS. They have definately healed up and increased in size, but not numbers.
badxgillen
And just so you all know, the pot is sweet with a LPS frag pack for the winner. I will see if I can get some photos of the prizes as it sounds like a sweet batch of corals.
Snappy
I have 2 new polyps. One of my 3 original polyps is still only a half and has never fully healed. So 2.5 originals, and 2 new polyps. The new polyps are already about 1/4 the size of the big ones and coloring up too.
BigDan
they have fattened up but no new heads
CoralReefTankers
7 heads fully plump and happy hope even more start popping up.
obrien.david.j
OBrien Acan-A, Check-in: May 26: Looks like I've stalled my growth. My system changes and fish room remodeling have tweaked the corals in some way, so my frag isn't in growth mode. Everyone else's looks great. Nice job! badxgillen
Everyones frags look great! Dont forget this is the last day of the month to post up you update photos, which is quite often the means of disqualification.
Snappy
By the way, mine was Acan A. I’m not sure if I posted that. Gets hard to tell with camera phone pics of underwater rainbow animals. Anyone else got new polyps on Acan A or just the second one?
Tandor69
Well here is my photo for May, but I am out of the competition. After last months face dive mine took, it started to go down hill. It receded so much the skeleton started to poke out so I made the decision to move it to my main tank. It is recovered and I think I see a couple new heads. Good luck to everyone still in it! badxgillen
I apologize about the late reminder but life has been a bit "off" for me lately... That being said, we need to see some continuing contestants if possible. I am about up to 5 polyps as of now. AAAWWWwww Yeah!

CoralReefTankers
So here is my update on my acans. My previous 2 heads have filled out nicely and I now have 2 more growing! 9 total heads! Love the colors on this guy!!! I have 1 polyp which has been a little pissed this week....... not sure why especially since the other acans on the frag rack look great, but seems to be getting better. obrien.david.j
OBrien Acan-A, Check-in: June 25: I took a step back this month. My previous mini-frag tank had Aptasia. And they weren't coming with the corals into the new frag tanks. So on June 12th, i snapped my frag off it's plug and transplanted it. In the process, I cracked the skeleton. So, attached is the June 12th picture (bright white plug) and today's photo. No need to get too close, nor fancy. At the same time, I've determined my system is low on NO3. So starting yesterday I'm on a an campaign to increase it. Maybe next month my acan frag will show some grown... CoralReefTankers
Ok here is my pics of my Acan. Have 10 heads; 7 full, 2 juveniles, and a baby. Snappy
5 full adult heads and a baby started a few days ago bringing total to 6. (Note the baby rainbow Acan sprout in the bottom left of the frag with the side profile.)
BigDan
Well I have 3 new heads total, but am battling some algae issues so the pics aren't that great, but they are still alive and growing lol
badxgillen
I hate to say it folks, but this is the last month of the grow out... I also regret to inform my Acan looks like poo. I will send some terrible cell phone shots but ultimately I went from 2.5 polyps to 5 sickly looking heads. Needles to say that after the competition I will be moving these corals out and into a different system... That is unless Coral reefTankers and Snappy will divulge his secrets to success. obrien.david.j
OBrien Acan-A, Check-in: July 28: Well, I've got the algae uglies going. You'll never guess what started them... (The last paragraph of my June update: At the same time, I've determined my system is low on NO3. So starting yesterday I'm on a an campaign to increase it. Maybe next month my acan frag will show some grown... ) --> I've been slightly raising NO3 and PO4. I thought I was going slow enough...
