wegotjs
Came home tonight and saw that the flesh on about a 1/3 of my blue staghorn was just floating around the coral. Looks like it is mostly around the base and peeling up but does have one tip that is gone also. My tank did get a little warm yesterday when my fans got unpluged. Could that be the cause. That seems to be the only coral affected. Any Ideas? Jon
JeffP
Frag it quick. The longer you wait the more death!! I'm not sure of the cause though - sorry :(
ThePremiumAquarium
Agreed! Quickly cut it up! That should save it if it can be saved. Chances are it was the temperature, but you never really know. Are all of your levels arlright in your tank and have you done a recent water change? impur
Yah if you don't frag thats a goner. Try to get some glue onto the flesh when you glue one of the frags. Might help stop the RTN. Hows it look today?
wegotjs
Well I lost most of it . Got a couple 1/2 inch frags. At least it is a cheap coral. Next time I see that their is flesh falling I will chop, chop, chop. Thanks guys

dsoz
I had the same problem with both my Oregon Tort and California tort. Both are now white skeletons. :( I hope that the frag of cali tort that you received from me is doing well. dsoz
