Jack-the-reefer
I'm a little bored tonight after work, so this happened. The vase holds around 1/2 gallon. I'm seriously considering drilling a few holes in this and putting a tiny sump on it. I don't want to have to worry about trying to hide a pump or heater in the display. The plan is to silicone the rock to the back wall. That way, I can just pick the while thing up and dump it out for a water change. That's all for now.

Jack-the-reefer
I don't think they make bulkheads tiny enough for what I need. Anyone have any good ideas?

TheClark
I bet silicone would do the job that small but 1/2” threaded pvc could be a makeshift bulk head. Just brainstorming:)

That's a good idea! I think the gem tang at cuttlefish would look really good in this. It'll probably be zoas and sexy shrimp.

Jorge
A blue tang might be a good fit. At least once a week: "what's the smallest tank you guys sell? My son/daughter wants a Dory!" 2 2

I was kind of thinking of just using an aqua lifter pump anyway.

Jack-the-reefer
Got it drilled, painted, and glued in the "bulkheads" over the past few days. I ended up using some random plumbing parts I found at home depot and modifying them to work for what I need. I'll see if it holds water tomorrow. Then I'll glue the rock wall in place. Jack-the-reefer
I got it running today. I think I'm going to pull the drain out and make it bigger though. I have to have the pump cranked down to barely a trickle or else it's going to overflow. Edited January 2, 2019 by Jack-the-reefer
Jack-the-reefer
I got the stand started yesterday. I still need to get some trim on it and clean it up before painting, but I'm getting there. It's in two pieces so I can just pull the front section off to get to the sump.

Salted_Waffles
This is really cool. It’ll make a great tank to show off some smalle inverts like Sexy shrimp or a pompom crab. Can’t wait to see how it looks once stocked.
