The V2 is a gorgeous light, therea literally nothing to complain about. Brian Tesch
The living room just got that much saltier today. That's right! It finally is an aquarium. Obviously not finished yet, but at least it's cycling. Picture of the sump and the "overflow closet".

Brian Tesch
Here is the 1-month update + tank build finish pictures since I just realized I never posted fully finished pictures of the stand/hood. First order of business is the hood, lights were attached pretty simply, LED bar was attached using ROMEX staples, 1/2 pvc, and really long zip ties. PVC is used behind the light to allow airflow when fans turn on, heat dissipation is not a problem after testing for a few hours at 100%. Next here are some photos of the tank fully completed: Although the tank is operational it is not done here is my to-do list going forward. #1: Install dosing reservoirs/dosing pump. #2: Install carbon reactor. #3: Install simple overflow weir in the refugium. #4: Install 3/8 Line going from refugium to frag/nursery tank, that will allow a small amount of flow moving through the area. Then install the light. #5: Build some lids for the sump and the tank at the top to cut down on evaporation.

I’ve put some pieces of acrylic over the top of my sump to cut down on evaporation. Mine is an open stand and it was losing water like crazy! At the time I wasn’t sure if it was okay to do but was willing to try since I was topping off every couple days. albertareef
Looking great Brian! Really like how the whole integrated stand/hood came together... super clean! The sump/equipment arrangement is quite tidy as well. Sharp!
