TheClark
I have heard that if you grab a fireworm accidentally, and they leave their bristles, soak your hand in vinegar. Moving chaeto this morning, I had that happen, gave it a shot. Here is the before and after: BEFORE PIC After
TheClark
Shoot, it is zoomed in to far, you cannot really see it. Before pic looked like hairs sticking out of the left side of the finger. After pic they are gone. Finger is still pretty itchy. I don't feel like trying again to compare vinegar vs non vinegar

TheClark
Finger still feels like a stuffed sausage today, stiff to bend. Curse you fireworms lol!
albertareef
Now that you mention it I can definitely see the bristles - ouch! Fireworms sound like a bit of tank biodiversity I can live without... got my hands in there too often for that 👀
pdxmonkeyboy
the acidic thing only works on certain stings.. jellyfish and man of war i am certain it works because i have used it. pacific jellyfish barely sting but i came up from snorkeling into a small man of war once... WHOA!!! They sting in a BIG way. interestingly enough i read that heat kills the toxins in lion fish stings. so if you ever get stung immerse your hand in very hot water. Man-o-war does not sound fun!
