pledosophy
So after nearly 5 yeas I believe my Mag5 died last night. Fiddled with it, it's dead. I need to replace it with a low flow pump around 300g or so, but the most important need of mine is that the pump be quite. The tank is 3 feet from where I sleep so the quieter the better. Anyone have any suggestion fo a new pump for me? Has to be able to push water about 4 feet and be abled to be dialed down to push less water then it is intended. Thanks. Nyles
Mag or eheim, I have both and love the mag, the eheim is slightly quieter but usually more money. Either is a good choice
chewie
The Eheim pumps are dead silent, and use about half the electricity than a comparable mag pumps. IMO worth every penny.
Michael7979
I never had a problem with the Gen-X pumps I have had.
impur
My GenX just quit, and Mag pumps are loud. I'd go Eheim, best pump IMO and dead silent.
WAVES
I agree Eheim would be a great choice. Two maxijet 1200 would work too.
