I have my ideas but they are not always the best.

How do you deal with humidity/Evaporation if you have a 200 gallon +\- tank in your home? My system evaporated 8.9 gallons a day.

I believe a hood or glass lids can help I know it does on smaller freshwater setups.

Yeah, you could cover the totes in the basement. That will reduce evap down there. As for the DT in the house, I'd just run a dehumidifier. I have a unit with a 2.5 gallon bucket and I can easily fill that up daily. I only run it in the winter.

I bought a dehumidifier recently myself. My gf told me my house smelled like mildew and she was right. This thing wasn't needing to be emptied a couple times a day for the first week. Now it's only every couple of days. Rainy winters with an aquarium will leave you with some serious moisture problems otherwise
