LadySaber
Just picked up my first LPS. I got a small torch coral. I have it in low to medium flow. The arms are gently flowing, basicly on the same side that my koralia powerhead is on. Any other sugestions for it?
TheClark
Love love love Torch corals! Low medium flow is good but it is surprising how much flow they can handle. You can feed them about any food, some will eat, which is fun but not necessary. They are stony coral of course so the big 3 (calc/alk/mag) are important to them. Lexinverts
Be careful it isn't too close to any other corals (except other torches, frogspawn, and hammers, which are ok), since it can extend those tentacles a long ways!
andy
theclark is spot-on IME. They're pretty forgiving, like gentle flow and if fed will grow like weeds -- so in a small tank can really chew through Ca and Alk. For me, a mixed reef tank just doesn't look right without a Torch.
LadySaber
now worries other than a few mushrooms, pulsing xenia, gsp, and toadstool nothing else there. I have the torch all alone to the left of my tank . now just need to find myself more mushrooms and a few more leathers. I just love them. I might add a duncan later on but Im not sure

LadySaber
Hmmm my torch doesn't seem to expand his arms as long as yours. Other than that seems happy. Should I move him? He is down on the bottom of the tank with med flow
