Lots of equpment for sale

Hi Everyone,

I am taking down my tank due to a remodel project. I have some equipment to sell off which was all bought last June, so only about a year old. Some is still brand new in the box. I thought I would offer it to the local reefing community first.

I am located in Tigard and would like to get rid of this stuff by this weekend if possible as I leave for a business trip on Monday. I think I have priced stuff pretty fairly.

1. JBJ Arctica Titanium Chiller 1/3HP. Like new and comes with an Ocean Runner 2500 pump.

I paid $960 for the combo and I'm selling both for $450

2. JBJ True Temp digital heater controller w/ 800W titanium heater.

I paid $180, selling for $80

3. Aquarium Plants Electronic CO2 regulator

Considered the best regulator out there. Pretty much it once and forget it.

I paid $300, selling for $150

4. 2 Aquarium Plants aluminum CO2 tanks, 10lbs

One is full of CO2 and never used. Paid $120, Sell for $60

One is less than 1/2 full of CO2. Sell for $50

5. PinPoint pH monitor w/probe and calibration fluid

Paid $200, selling for $80

6. EcoTech MP40 w. EcoSMART Driver

Paid $465, selling for $300

7. 2 Sun System Galaxy electronic ballasts 250-400W switchable.

Paid $175, sell for $100 ea

8. 2 Lumen Max Elite reflectors

Paid $165, sell $50 ea

9. Tunze Osmolator 3155, new in box and never used

Paid $200, sell for $150

10. BRS GAC/FGO setup including about a 1/2 gallon of GFO and Carbon

Paid about $110, sell for $50. The GFO/Carbon is worth that alone.

11. AquaMaxx 4 stage RO/DI. I think it is a 50GPD rating. I know the RO is, but I think it has a 35GPD restrictor in it as I never got around to replacing it.

I just replaced all the components including the the membrane and DI stage about 50 gallons ago and it has a spare carbon block and a couple of pre-filterst that go with it.

I think I paid around $125, asking $50.

12. PM WC610 waste receptacle.

Paid $90, sell for $40

13. AquaMedic Reflectometer

Used it twice to check calibration on my swing arm

Cost $90, sell for $50

14. Reef Octopus skimmer

I dropped it taking it out of my car and cracked the lid a bit and broke the pump mount which I glued back on. I ran it for about a week and then got my other skimmer fixed. Seems to work OK.

I paid $199 for it and will sell for $25 given its checkered past.

15. Hanna Phosphate meter

Brand new still in the box with regent

Paid $55, sell for $30

16. Tom's aqualifter with filter

Brand new still in the box

Paid about $20, sell for $10

I also have some misc supplies:

1 gal BRS Kalk $10 (almost full)

1/2 gal BRS Sodium Bicarbonate $5 (1 gal jug about half used)

800g Kent Turbo Calcium - $10 (unopened)

400g Kent Turbo Calcium - $5 (almost full)

ARM CO2 reactor media - $5 (about 1/2 of an 8lb container)

1 gal Kent Tech M Magnesium - $15 (almost full)

There are also some things free to a good home, like a PM CR622 Calcium Reactor with a bad water pump if someone wants to mess with it.

I'll take 6 and 10 if nobody has grabbed them yet.

They're yours.

BTW, I am working on the house today and Friday as well as most of the weekend if people want to pick stuff up. The sooner the better.

People can also call me on my home phone at 503-620-5730

Rgrcrain, I set aside the full CO2 tank for you.

RO/DI is spoken for as is the CO2 regulator.

On the freebie side, I also have an old school but working single 400W PFO metal halide ballast and a little Tsunami wave maker that controls two pumps for anyone that wants them.

ill take numer 7 if they are duel outlets

Hi Mike,

I don't think they make the 250-400W switchable version in a dual setup. This is the one that I have here: http://www.aquacave.com/GALAXY-Select-A-Watt-250W-400W-Metal-Halide-Electronic-Ballast-by-Sunlight-Supply-P2816C270.aspx

I see the price has come down a bit since I bought them (now $150 retail), so I'll offer them up for $150 for the pair if you are interested.

BTW, the reflectors I have for sale come with some 6 month old bulbs. A 400W Radium and 250W Radium, plus some others that I think are 14K.

Summer's coming up - don't buy it for me, buy it for your corals! It is rated for up to 340 gallon tank size. I had my tank through the wall into the garage with no climate control and it keep it cool easily last summer with about 150gal water volume.

More info on it here: http://www.aquacave.com/JBJ-Arctica-13-HP-Titanium-Aquarium-Chiller-DBA-250-P1788.aspx

While I am hawking things, I figure I might as well mention that I have my tank on consignment down at Upscales as of today. It's not your typical reef tank, but some of you might be interested in it. it is 72"L x 36"W x 27"H and was originally setup as a freshwater palaudarium as shown below

The tank is setup to be half filled with water with an overflow at about 14". After getting bored with the freshwater, I decided to try setting it up as a reef tidepool tank as shown below.

It could probably have the overflow raised. It is constructed out of 1/2" acrylic with a narrow edge around the top since I didn't plan to fill it. Would also make someone a killer dart frog setup or something. If someone is interested in setting it up as a dart frog setup or terrarium of some kind, I have a Mist King misting setup I'll throw in if you buy the tank.
