Topher
brittle starfish? serpent starfish? that was what i was thinking but if it stands off the glass, it could be some sort of hydiod thingy(scientific name(nutty))

Mitchell
Ok. Hydroids aren't bad unless in really large numbers, correct? This is the only one I have seen. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
Dobler132
There are different views on this. Some say that they are harmless and that they will go away on their own in time. Others say that they will continue to grow and once more mature pack a powerful sting... I'm pretty sure zoa's hate them. I believe they're similar to aiptasia in that they will spread faster if you try and pull them out. Covering them with some kind of paste or epoxy seems to work the best from what I've read. I'm not sure if you'll be able to do that or not as your picture shows that it's either on the glass or floating in your tank.
k9flash
Not that I'm a veteran by any means, but I had them for a bit on my daughters tank glass. Wasnt sure quite what to do with them so I left them. After a while they just disappeared. Not sure why but figured it was just a phase.
