cellowithgills
Ok, I'd like to add, combine and refine some of my electrical stuff. I want a single device to control my lights, and I want to get a wave maker. So I've been looking a a light timer strip and an oceanpulse quadra. But the more I think about it, the more I realize that I should just get a controller. I'm looking at a RKL basic So here's my questions: Will time do everything I want it to? (wavemaker and lights) How hard would it be to program? After the $100 head unit, what else will I need to buy?
finch6013
After the head unit you will need to by a PC4 or two. That is the plug strip. I would recommend getting the RKL plus. It comes with everything you need for basic control like you want plus you get the temp probe, ph probe and two pc4 plug strips.
TidePool
I recently bought the RKL basic from BRS. It included a temp probe and a PC4 plug strip. I'm very happy with it. Each of the four outlets, in the plug strip, is individually programmed and controlled. I don't do wavemaker, mine is used for control of lights and heaters. Temperature control is very precise, +/- 0.1 degrees in my setup. No more worries about a heater failure cooking my system.
Algae
If you go for an AC jr I can help you program. Not sure about wavemaking though. Grassi bought a cheap one from under me.LOL Sent from Tapatalk while sitting on a commode
