Nancymacc
Heading to the Barrier Reef sale today and they have Reef Octopus Skimmers on sale. Currently using an older BakPak in my sump. Tank is 50g with a 10g sump. Is the Reef Octopus a good relacement?? I have been on the lookout, but dont really know what to look for.
NoobtoSalt
They are good skimmers but not sure about one in a 10 gallon sump. Just make sure the footprint will fit good in your sump. I just ran into some issues today with my skimmer being melted by my heater in the sump from not enough room. It was my own fault for not turning off the heater but just a heads up. Nancymacc
Ya the sump is full of rock too and I don't want to reduce that by much. the BakPak is on the outside. I have the heater in the second chamber area so hopefully I can eliminate that risk. i will check out the footprint before I make a decision. Thanks They seem really tall...
