stylaster
Does anyone know if there is a SE 250w 20k bulb that is on par with the radium? Roy

Ryan
Call me crazy, but back when I had MH's I switched from 250w SPS (South Pacific Sun) 14k to Radium 20k and didn't notice all that much of a difference. I was using an Icecap ballast. I was using 4 VHO actinics as well, so maybe that had something to do with it.
Electrokate
This suggests radiums might get scarce, and a couple alternatives: http://reefbuilders.com/2011/03/15/radium-metal-halide-bulbs/ This shows that the aquamaxx compares in profile but possible it would not be as bright: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2010/1/review1 I'm tagging along, need a bulb for a frag tank.
