pnkrcklives
Finally got the 55 full of water/cycling. Any stocking suggestions. Gonna go softies and fish only.
Michael7979
Take your time and be patient! That is the biggest piece of advice I can give, along with read everything you can. My suggestion would be to go with more small fish then a 1 or 2 larger fish.
pnkrcklives
I am just throwing this out there for ideas that I may not have thought of. I have some ideas but need to do a little more research. I dont plan on stocking any time soon(month or more). Especially till I fully know what I want to do. Patience is the key in this hobby. I learned that with my first tank.
jgf86123
I'd look into a pair of clowns, 1-3 assorted fairy and/or flasher wrasses, a shrimp/goby combo, and possibly a few other active, peaceful fish.
jgf86123
And to top it off, I've got lots of zoos an softies for sale as we speak :P
pnkrcklives
I will hit you up for some softies once it is ready. I was thinking of getting a maroon clown and moving my other maroon over. And going with a school of chromis. And some type of wrasse as well. A shrimp goby pair would look cool with the black sand...
jgf86123
I'd rethink the school of chromis, it seems that everyone that tries them ends up with just 1 after a while LOL You can try a trio of Bartlets anthias though, or a trio of Purple Queen anthias. And when you get the second maroon, make sure it's smaller, get with Dave(Barelycuda) he's the clown guy on here, an has the most awesome clownfish room you'll ever see lol. Michael7979
Yeah the chromis will usually end up with just 1-2 after awhile. They seem to pair up and "chase" everything else away. (if you catch my drift) Unless you have a LARGE tank.
pnkrcklives
Interesting I was gonna move my trio of blue greens from my other tank. Had them for a year and they came with the tank. Then try and add some more(vander builts or orange stripes). Couple people have mentioned the anthias I will keep that open as an option as well. Bartlets are amazing looking fish... jgf86123
Honestly, I prefer the Purple Queens over the Bartlett's lol
pnkrcklives
Here is my latest idea... Well not really all my idea. Trio anthias(bartlett, purple queen,or red lyretail), maroon clown pair, shrimp/goby pair, Trio flasher wrasse(mccosker, blue, or carpenters) Good/Bad idea? Can you mix match the wrasses I have never had more than one at a time and only to eat pests.
