reef165
Do any of what your calling the ppe's have green skirts? The skirts do have a greenish tint to them, I am hoping they color up, they were mistreated by the previous owner and I have had them for just over a week and they are just now showing signs of recolor. But if you don't think thats what they are please let me know what they are so I can price accordingly.
reef165
Cause I think they are actualy maroon people eaters:) couldn't find anything on them with google. Are they rarer that reg PPE's?
pantherguy30
The maroon are more common than both the red and the purple people eaters. I'll try and post a pic of both the maroon and the ppe for you tomorrow. I only have one of the ppe on my phone the moment.
reefnjunkie
PPE Here is a TERRIBLE pic of PPE-I can get another posted for ya 2morroe, but if yours are PPE and just not coloring-I'll take them-I am not sure they are though-no offense meant LMK;
Emerald525
I agree those look like maroon PEs or red pes. Here's a picture of the purple ones. Also not a great picture:
reef165
They may just be red PE's, Here's a link to some I have found, with color coming back. Look at the bottom on this page and then go back to the 2nd page and there is another example, both before shots look very simmaler to what I have. http://www.reef2reef.com/forums/r2r-spotlight-series/1778-r2r-spotlight-red-people-eater-rpe-3.html
reef165
I may just keep them arround a bit to see what they do.
reefnjunkie
I may just keep them arround a bit to see what they do. Not a bad idea-if they are RPE-10.00 per polyp is the going rate PPE can be 25.00-35.00 depending on market Just what I have seen anyway
reef165
Yes, I think I'm going to sit on them, I went and turned on the lights thismorning and actualy looked close ( I have never paid much attention to them except to clean off the ball of hair alge that was surrounding them, I seriously thought that there was like one or two polyps on each of the 3 plugs, but once the alge was removed, bam lots) I can see faint red lines in the mantle, just like the pick's I've seen of the red ones, so ya I'm going to hold on to them and see what happens. Everything else is still for sale
