What to use as frag plug

I am setting up a frag tank and I am not going to have sand in it, so I would like a frag plug that is about 2 or 3 inch, doesn't matter if it's round or square, but would prefer square.

I use marble serpentine tiles from Lowes or home depot. I get the white ones when on clearance. All you have to do is pull off the mesh backing and give them a rinse. If you've ever seen any of my frags, thats what all of them are on. Everything encrusts onto them nicely and the parts that dont get covered color up nicely.

 

Or if you want T or plug style frags I say hit up Mr. S for some of the TFT student made frags.

Personally I cant stand frag plugs, I much prefer small pieces of live rock. That being said I don't have a frag rack LOL

Yes, Roger (MrS) made a series of different plugs. A, B, C, etc. He can give you the info.

 

Most people like Roger's B Plugs.

I got a little crazy when I ordered these (post # 338, the ones that show the Superman zoas) I think they are 2.5" and 20 per pack, they ran me 10.00 per pack and would sell them for that if interested.

I got them for growing out larger colonies of zoas with the intent to frag not grow

 

Post 223 also shows them with the King Midas frags

I take a piece of dry rock or live rock even and break it up with a hammer. You get frag plugs of all sizes and they look natural. You just have to glue it in the right spot so it stands up.

I totally am in need of some disks. My tank has out of control growth and frags everywhere with no home. Can I pick some up from you when you are in Eugene? My number is 541-913-4419. Do you use marine grade superglue to attach them to the disks?
