h2odvl
Looking for a small tang like a Tomini or Kole, have a 35 gallon but will upgrade to 75 fairly soon. I need my algae under control (enforcer). I'm thinking 1-2". anyone have one they want to sell?
ReeFit
you'd be better off with an algae blenny, emerald crab and a few turbo's or astreas.
Trautman
yeah man, tangs are a handful. i got one last week with the same idea in mind, and i got ich right off the bad (perhaps i was foolish and bought it with ich a). so seriously, go the easy way. blennies are hardy too. the tangs are really iffy if you don't have it down (i unfortunately learned). try hermits also. and the turbos kick butt. NoobtoSalt
I had some algea issues and got a blenny. well it didn't last long for some reason and I decided to head to Garretts and grab 30 astreas (on top of the 20 or so I already had). They are doing a phenominal job. I know your looking for a tang but snails are much cheaper to deal with IMO.
newfisher
+1 on the lawnmower blenny and some turbos. Was at Garretts last night and he got in some Angels for clay that were smaller than a silver dollar. I'm sure he could get some small tangs. I'm headed back up Monday or Tuesday and can bring one back if he can get one in by then.
impur
Hey maybe he wants another fish to look at too!!! (laugh) Some snails won't touch certain types of algae that a tang may love. When i first set my 75gal up i had a TON of algae growing on everything including the glass. I mean everything!! Snails wouldn't touch it, neither would emeralds. I found out the algae was called Tang Heaven, so i got a Desjardini tang and every single bit of algae was gone in 3 days. I've been wanting a small flame angel for years, I might have to make a trip to visit Garrett
newfisher
I believe I saw a small flame there last night and it wasn't the one in clays eyes when he saw all of Garretts amazing SPS frags.
