Michael7979
I want to do a couple of pillars if I ever have a "cube'ish" style tank.
moovinfast
Have the tank mostly filled with water. Need about 15-20 more gallons before I can run the return pump and mix in salt. Need to work on programing the reef controller. Not sure its going to work with all my equipment. I think I read somewhere it has a 10amp fuse for the entire plug box. My heater says it uses 9amps. Guess Ill hook it all up and see if it all works. Or does someone want to trade a brand new Reef Angel for a used reef controller with same features? Also, whats a good acrylic magnet cleaner that wont break the bank for 1/2" acrylic? I have a magfloat on my 25 gallon and it doesnt work very well. But the magfloat I have on my glass tank works great.
ReeFit
I use an acrylic scrub pad in between the mag floats.
stylaster
a good acrylic cleaner is a algae free hammerhead would work for you well. I have the piranha and love it. They are nice too, made out of wood and have a super strong magnet
moovinfast
Tanks been up and running for a few days. Put a scoop of live sand in it and a few small pieces of live rock. Should be ready to move over to the big tank in a week or two. Also ended up with a Reefkeeper. It can handle all of my equipment. So far I like it. But I havent tried to hook up my kalc reactor or my calcium reactor yet.

moovinfast
Here are some pics of it up and running. Still need to run all the wires. Right now they are just in a big pile next to the tank. And hanging off the side of the tank. Also need to run some carbon or a filter sock to clear up the water. My blenny likes to stir up the sand. moovinfast
Here are some more pics as promised. We ended up getting more fish also. We got a pair of Cardinal fish, and a mandarin from garret in salem. We also picked up a melanarus wrasse and a kole tang from another shop while we were in town, but both of those fish didnt make it. Dont think we will be buying fish from a store that uses copper again.

moovinfast
Yeah, and its actually smaller than it was in the other tank right now. And look at all the little babies. I'm going to need to start fragging stuff. My candy cane is a huge ball. Has probably 75+ heads. We started with 5.

moovinfast
Well one of the pumps died. So now our closed loop is on hold. Running some k4's until we find a replacement. Found a good used Reeflo Dart just north of us we we're going to buy, but the guy seems to be a flake. We were supposed to meet last weekend. :(
