DennisW
I had a hang on back one. Ive owned many skimmers over the years and must say, the EShopps was my favorite. The problem with them is that the pumps are kind of cheap, china made pumps. When they go out, there are no replacements. That's what happened with my hang on. So, when I went to order a whole new skimmer, they were on factory backorder. Had to get a new Warner Marine H2 hang on. Not impressed. Fishoutofwater
they are your best bang for the buck. I am running a psk200 on my reef and it pulls some nasty nog. I am wanting to upgrade to a swc cone skimmer in the future but right now the eshopps is doing well. nice starter skimmer. so I would go either the eshopps or the SWC. newfisher
I have one of the new hob's with the factory mesh mod. I have it under the cabinet hanging on the back of the sump. I was concearned at first with getting it to work with the lower sump water level than tank water level it was designed for,but it started rockin and is pulling like mad!
