moovinfast
Feel free to move if I posted this in the wrong place. Anyways I think I'm going to get a new tank this weekend but it wont fit in my little VW rabbit. Its 4'x'4x2' about 240 gallons. Problem is that its in Seattle. Does anyone with a car it will fit in want to make a road trip? Maybe someone else want to go for a ride to help load a tank?
newfisher
Is it the one in everett? I would help, but you might spend a little too much in gas to get me up there and back.

R-3
Is this Sushi's tank? I think the best bet would be a small trailer.
mwheeler
If you still need help let me know. I don't have a vehicle that will fit it but I can help with any lifting and such.
reefnjunkie
Does U-haul have a truck(enclosed) they rent for 19.99 a day(scratch)-I'm not sure if those ones incorporate mileage or not-

moovinfast
thanks mwheeler. Uhaul charges mileage.
moovinfast
Dont think Home Depot would be very cost effictive either. $19.95 for the first 75 minutes, $5.00 every 15 minutes thereafter. Its going to be at least 4 hours I think.
newfisher
I think its seattle' date=' but everett is only a little bit more up the road[/quote'] Grew up in Marysville, miss the Puget Sound area. Too bad I'm 2.5 hrs south of you. Being unemployed offers a ton of extra time, just not enough extra dough to feed the big block dually or haul the car trailer up and back. Lowman
If you are picking the tank up in seattle, call Uhaul and see if they need any trucks brought down form there to the Portland area. That way you get the one day rate and no mileage charges.
moovinfast
I was hoping to pick up this weekend since I couldnt last, but I cant get a hold of the guy. So he might have sold it. Anyone have leads on another large 240+ gallon tank?

moovinfast
Who would have thought it would be so hard to get a tank home.
jgf86123
Dude, do what Bob suggested, they're always transferring vehicles between offices and it shouldnt be that hard to find one LOL Then you just gotta pay the one day rate that way. I'd help ya, but I don't have a license an we're heading south Saturday morning LOL.
moovinfast
I tried. They said this is the second busiest weekend of the year for moving. The cheapest one was about $135 one way plus gas.
