rmhuntley
ok guys, I want to turn a 40g breeder into a sump w/ a prop tank section. I"d like to hear any ideas that you have about how to do this effectively. I hope to use 20" for the sump and 16" for the prop tank.
impur
baffles and eggcrate You will probably have to add a PH in there too for more flow.

vanz
What's the dimensions of the tank? You can split it in half the long ways and have the flow go around the tank instead of from left to right. Umm...yeah, if you need me to draw it up, I can. Not good at explaining things. impur
What kind of light you gonna put over the corals? It would be perfect to just make a sump like ppl do with a fuge in the middle. Only you won't have a fuge, you'll have frags!! Water dumps into left side, over baffle, under baffle, over baffle. Frag compartment. Under baffle, over baffle return pump. Thats how i'd do it. rmhuntley
I'm gonna have 6x39w T-5HO. I like that idea, I would need to fins somewhere to put my skimmer in there, but I"d make it work
impur
skimmer can go in the chamber where the water enters the sump
