siskiou
Can anyone recommend a magnet cleaner with a thin inner part for a 1/2" thick glass aquarium? I have a Magnavore, which is great, but too thick to get past some of the corals/rocks. Was looking at the Mag-flip, but that's only good for glass up to 3/8". Is there anything like it for thicker glass?
Danik
I am wating on my great white magnet cleaner, not sure how thick the wet side is but I'll let you know when I get it. You can frag your coral and sell/trade the frags, cause the coral will outgrow the thinner magnet.
siskiou
Thanks, and yeah, I may just have to frag my corals. Did it accidentally already with one. One swipe with the magnet=3 frags. ;
Smann
I have a Hammerhead and a Magfloat both about 1" thick the Mag might be slightly thinner
mltnguyen
I did some looking around and could not find anything thin enough for your needs. I also use a Hammerhead and have had good luck with it. I personally was not happy with the performance of the Mag Floats on acrylic. I do however like the Mag Floats on glass aquariums though. Anyhow I wish you the best and let us know what you end up doing.
CA2OR
I think I found a way to do it with a 1\4 inch thickness on the inner wall.
madmike
Dan, let me know how the great white works out on 3/4" material. Maybe I'll have you bring it by and compare it to the one I'm going to make with the 200lb force magnets.
wanareef
Sue Maybe you need a tank upgrade DOH!
siskiou
I totally agree! If you have a 180G or 240G you want to get rid of...
