ciao
This might be a stupid question, but I had to ask anyways. Are groupers and lionfish reef safe? Can somebody direct me to a link perhaps that could give me a list of reef safe fish and what combination of fish I can have that won't kill each other and not destroy my reef? Thanks
Lowman
They are not fish and crustacean safe, but are coral safe.
ThePremiumAquarium
Bob is right. Shrimp and small fish will be lunch but other than that, technically they are reef safe. They also poo alot so that could be an issue. More frequent or larger water changes and good skimming is required.
Rick
I took all of the small fish out except my Red Scooter Blenny when I added my Fluffy Dwarf Lionfish but I left the Peppermint Shrimp and 2 Red Fire Shrimp which it has left alone so far. (Only had it 2 or 3 weeks though so it may be too early to tell) I have a Niger Trigger and Snowflake Eel in the same tank though and they also leave them alone. (The Snowflake Eel has eaten a small Orange Clown and a Gold Headed Sleeper Goby) None of the above bother the corals.
