Still wanting a generator too. check you local home depot for a generator. they had some on clearance at the oregon city home depot a week or two ago. undrtkr_00 Posted September 28, 2009 Share Posted September 28, 2009 I typically put my heater on the same timer as my refugium light, and only plug it in during the winter. The display lights keep the tank warm enough during the day, so the heater should really only come on at night anyway. By restricting when the heater comes on, I figure I reduce my chances of cooking the tank pretty dramatically without additional $ out of pocket.
