MedRed
The King has arrived and brought his court jester with him! I introduced him to his throne with a dasani bottle with holes poked in it and the bottom cut out of it. Success! I had to use the flash on these next two pictures to get them to show up. The court jester doesn't think anything is very funny at the moment Here is a picture of the clown goby... He will not be in this court for long
undrtkr_00
Nice! That jawfish is cool. I love how you placed his hidey hole right at the center of the display. (rock2)
MedRed
thanks undrtkr... I want to see him. lol. I've decided to name this tank... "The King and his Kingdom." Davy Jones Locker went out of their way to store and get him to me. I'm very thanksful!
MedRed
Teaser Video of the Blue Spot... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmILAnl4YaI He is constantly watching me! I've caught him several times dumping sand out of his house.. as soon as he notices me... he quits and watches me with intense distrust... lol. This is the best I could get of him close up... when I'm further away... he pokes his entire head out.
MedRed
The Jawfish is still in his little house. He just flipped a snail off of his barnacle like, "oh no you don't!" Lol I went to look for the tailspot blenny in his little hide out... he wasn't there! I immediately noticed him at the front of the tank timidly picking at rocks. He's still dark and showing stress spots... but I guess he's too hungry to worry about that at the moment.

MedRed
Thanks Jason! So... here are the last shots before I go out of town for a couple of days tomorrow. My next two projects will be upgrading the lighting and creating a mixed zoa rock with 2-3 polyps each of various colored zoas.

CA2OR
Yeah I hear that. I am coming up on 2 years that I have wanted one. Does he sift sand?
MedRed
he's not been outside of his house so far that I've seen. He did spend a a little while the first day ejecting sand out of his house that must have blown in while it'd been sitting
CA2OR
I will have to hit you up if I get one to see how you did all of that for him
MedRed
ricordea aren't anenomes are they? I thought they were related to mushrooms? Wow' date=' shows what I know! Where did you get your nass snails?[/quote'] I will have to hit you up if I get one to see how you did all of that for him I picked up everything from home depot Use 4 x 3/4" street elbows These and not these 1x 3/4" Tee saw off the T and a piece of 3/4" straight pipe. Cut off a 4-5 inches. I didn't really measure, just eyeballed it. The materials, not counting a saw or pvc cutter, should cost less than $10. Rose City Aquarium hooked me up with a barnacle. You can get them on ebay as well. I chiseled the bottom out and secured it with reef epoxy.
kilmca
Great looking tank, the 14k bulb has much better color than the 10k. Jawfishes have great personalities, the only problem i've read about them is that they can be jumpers. The pvc and barnacle was a great idea. MedRed
Thanks kilmca. I agree on the 10,000k vs the 14,000k. I was only using the 10,000k so I wasn't using valuable bulb life off the 14,000k while the tank was cycling. I have a glass lid over the tank. I do not jawfish rug jerky anytime soon. The two montis are not part of the scape and will be removed as soon as I find them homes. New Candy Cane: won in a silent auction New Maxima: won in a silent auction New Sharknosed gobies: won in a silent auction (on the glass in the left corner of the tank) encrusting monti:won in a raffle, needs to find a home monti cap: won as a door prize... needs to find a home New zoas: Armor of the Gods Tub's blue Don't remember their names I have two others that didn't make the pictures.
