coralreefer
I've got Aiptasia that has more time to reproduce than I have to kill them. Have tried peppermint shrimp, Berghia nudibranches,...Joe's Juice is a joke...have seen favorable killings with Aiptasia X...I'm looking for something to work while I'm at work. Anybody have any opinions on Klein's butterflyfish versus copperband?(scratch)
reefboy
yep Kleins much hardier and will eat other foods once his job is done just be aware they may like any clams but seem to leave most lps but dont know yet how they react to sps as the tank I used them in was lps/softie system. Beckie
I had a cooperband that ate every thing offered. It never once was seen eating aptasia. Beckie
gawf4fun
I just had to trap my Klein's because after it took care of my aiptasia in short fashion (2 weeks or so), it decided to nip my elegance, the skirts off my Armor of God zoas, my sunburst zoas and was starting to feast on my blastos. In my experience, I highly advise you avoid a klein's unless you're happy to see your priciest corals go bye bye. mark
newfisher
I had a spat and purchased 4 peppermint shrimp for my 49G and it worked great. Mabey you didn't have enough of them?
finch6013
Never owned a copperband but I have heard they work wonders for aiptasia. and they are a cool fish to own if they dont eat your zoa's
Mr S
I had no problem with a copperband. Cool fish and did the job nicely.
