prada
Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but I was wondering if I should stop using this pump? I've been using it to mix my sw and haven't had a problem yet. Thanks.
dsoz
I would. Water can get down in that waterproof area and mess with your electrical contacts. With electricity and water it is better to be safe than sorry. You may be able to waterproof it again if you used some electrical shrink tubes for wires, but I will leave that call to an electrician. You should PM Dave (Barelycuda) and ask his opinion. dsoz
Lowman
I would throw it away.

Barelycuda
There are water tight heatshrinks made that have an extra compound to keep moisture out. But to put it on you would have to cut the end off your cord and put a new cord cap on. If it was an expensive pump I would consider it but since it appears to be a smaller Rio I would throw it out. ThePremiumAquarium
Nah, I would just pop the end off, shrink wrap the area damaged then pop a new end on. No need to waste a good pump unless its unfixable which this isn't. Just what I would do, but I am kinda a cheap ars Garrett
